Strategic Planning
An organization can improve it’s success by how well it defines what it does, where it is going, and how it plans on getting there. Companies whose employees understand its mission, vision and goals see a 29% greater return on average than others (Watson Wyatt Work Study). A well crafted vision rallies people in the organization. In combination with a mission statement they will provide the guidance to pursue activities that lead it forward. Organizations with no strategic plan or a weak one see missed opportunities and lower productivity and organizational commitment. Our process includes the following:
Setting organizational objectives – defining what the organization is intending to do. SWOT analysis - assessing the present situation (by looking at the organization’s Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats) a/s well as key factors both internal and external factors that are favorable and unfavorable to organizational objectives. Environmental scanning – reviewing what your clients want, who the competitors are, and how well the market is meeting the client needs. Gap analysis - developing new/revised strategies, vision, and mission. Critical success factors – identifying what is necessary for the organization to meet its objectives. Preparation for implementation - identifying how to communicate outcomes, incorporate them into the business, and monitor results.
